Julie Pitois is a Sports Performance and Rehabilitation Therapist. A former All-American collegiate volleyball player for the University of California at Santa Barbara, she played professionally for the Spanish Volleyball Federation in the Canary Islands of Spain before she succumbed to knee injuries that took her out of the sport.
Julie graduated from the nationally accredited National Holistic University in Emeryville, CA, completing their 1000 hour massage intensive program, and has taken over 400 hours in anatomy training from the Applied Anatomy Institute in Berkeley. Julie specializes in sports/ rehabilitation therapy with competitive and professional athletes. She is currently one of a handful of Certified Soft Tissue Release Therapists within the United States and is also certified in Active-Isolated Stretch Therapy and Musculoskeletal Integrative Therapy.
Julie has worked at the University of California at Berkeley with the athletic training department on the football, baseball and track and field teams, as well as PEPA, an NFL sports conditioning camp. She has traveled with a team of Ironman triathletes in the Bay area, and has clients ranging from 10 to 90 years of age. She is based in San Diego, CA, where she works with both the athletic community and sufferers of chronic illness and pain syndromes including fibromyalgia and chronic Lyme disease.
