Natural Sports Supplements

Safe and Legal sports enhancing supplements!

Whether you are a recreational runner, play on a soccer league, or run marathons or triathlons, you want to know that you are getting the most out of your exercise program.  But in the world of sports supplementation, it can be hard to know which supplements are safe and effective.  Some sports supplements are loaded with stimulants, which can provide a short-term boost in energy, but can actually deplete the body later on, and can exacerbate adrenal fatigue by putting too much demand on the system.

After years of experimenting with different substances (all legal, of course!) I have finally found a regimen that makes a significant difference to my performance in exercise, so I thought I would share it with you!  I am just a recreational runner, but even so I like to know that I am getting the most out of my workout time.  This combination of supplements gives me energy, prolongs endurance during workouts, and helps my post-workout recovery.

Energy Multiplex

This supplement contains adrenal-supporting herbs such as ginseng and rhodiola, and nutrients including methyl-B12, pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and potassium, all which are needed by the adrenal glands.  However it also contains more than that – it helps support the mitochondria with acetyl-L-carnitine, alpha-lipoic acid and pyruvic acid.   Completing this formula is ribose, a sugar that provides fuel for the skeletal and cardiac muscle cells without throwing off blood sugar balance or having other deleterious effects on the body such as promoting yeast overgrowth.  This formula is to be taken every day.

Dose: 3 capsules in the morning.

ATP Fuel

This formula is designed to support mitochondrial function, which is the “power plant” of the cell where ATP, or energy, is created.  With ingredients including NT Factor, NADH, CoQ10, L-carnitine and L-tyrosine, it enhances the cells ability to pump out energy, which gives you more energy and endurance during exercise.  People experiencing chronic fatigue can take this supplement daily.  Athletes may just take it before their workouts.

Dose:  5 capsules daily or before exercise.

Soothe and Relaxx

As the name implies, this is the post-workout remedy.  It contains glucosamine sulfate, MSM, chondroitin sulfate and hyaluronic acid, for joint and cartilage health.  It contains magnesium to relax muscles and malic acid to help flush metabolic waste such as lactic acid out of the muscle cells.  It contains 5-HTP, valerian, lemon balm and passion flower to relax the nervous system, and several herbal anti-inflammatories such as white willow, curcumin, boswelia and holy basil.  It is ideal for relaxing sore, tight muscles and calming inflammation that naturally occurs after exercise, especially if specific injuries are present.

Dose:  3 capsules twice daily or 4 capsules post-exercise.
